Auto repair shops

Management system for auto repair shops

Vehicles in several bays, parts on order, quotes to approve and extra work found along the way. OpsPilot tracks job orders by bay and mechanic, quotations and approved additions, parts and supplies, service reports and billing.

Common problems

What auto repair shops run into, and how the system helps

Each problem on the left maps to a practical capability on the right. Nothing here is a promise of savings or revenue.

Job orders are on paper and hard to follow.

A bay board shows each vehicle, its mechanic and progress.

Extra work is found mid-job and not charged.

Additional work is quoted, approved and carried into the bill.

Parts and supplies are not tracked closely.

Parts and supplies are recorded, with low stock flagged for reordering.

Customers are not notified or invoices are late.

Vehicles ready for pickup are listed, and billing and balances are recorded per job.

FAQ

Questions from auto repair shops

Can customers approve quotes through the system?

Approvals are recorded by your team against the quotation. Customer self-service approval is not a standard feature.

Does it keep a history per vehicle?

Yes. Job orders and services are recorded per vehicle, so earlier work can be looked up.

Can mechanics use tablets in the bays?

Yes. It runs in a web browser, so a tablet in the bay works. It needs an internet connection.
